"The Gan Xiang, or dry aroma of this tea is incredible. The aroma is bursting with juicy notes of sweet/ tart tangerine and raspberry, along with heavy notes of fudge. The taste is bitter, while the texture is smooth (similar to that of a nitro beer). A kick of cacao coats the mouth and back of throat, pairing well with a smooth fluidity that helps you sink further into your easy chair. It’s incredibly forgiving, allowing longer infusions with nary a repercussion. Infusion after infusion, this one will keep you sipping all day."

Well balanced shou, great for coffee drinkers

"This is the first shou I'm trying from this site, and I really appreciate the balance of flavors in this tea. The "forest floor" shou puer character is present, but nicely subdued allowing a nutty/woody character to develop. There is just the faintest bitterness, which is perfect to provide balance and complexity above what is typical for shou puer."

Excellent quality

"I'm really enjoying this high quality ripe by Y.S. Excellent amount of depth to keep the tea interesting, great mouthfeel with a solid thickness to the tea liquid which is very comfortable. I like the balance of flavors in this once, it's equally earthy, sweet, bitter, and smooth, none of these aspects stand out alone, but rather come together for a very nice well balanced approach. The QI is excellent, it's very present but not overwhelming. It gives a focused and energizing feeling from drinking it. I did some pretty long steeps and I'd say this tea can't be oversteered and really does well with longer steeps. I'm sure short steep drinkers will also like this one due to the high quality and balance in taste. It is a bit pricey, but I could see this being a daily go to since it's comfortable and balanced with very. nice energy and focus on from QI."
