Wu Yi Mountain "Huang Guan Yin" Black Tea
Huang Guan Yin (Ming Ke #2) is a hybrid that was developed over 20 years (1977-1997), by the Fujian Tea Research Center and was officially accepted as new tea varietal in 1998. Our Huang Guan Yin is from the earliest known garden that was started in 1999. It's a hybrid of Tie Guan Yin and Huang Jin Gui much like Anxi's "Jin Guan Yin", although that one is slightly different, the varietal being "Ming Ke #1).
Our Huang Guan Yin is grown in Wu Yi mountains and has been grown and processed in the style of a typical Wu Yi black tea. Very smooth tea with sweet mushroom and dried fruit sweetness. Very enjoyable tea!
