Bought to sample. Puerh is just not my favorite.

"Was reading on Puerh and decided to look for sample back. Yunnan was what the forums recommended. Seemed to be quite diverse offering with each offering a unique flavor. Puerh is just not my favorite. I would recommend for beginners."

Great tea, great service.

"I still have two of these samples to try, but so far all have been wonderful in different ways. The selected teas seem to be high quality. The sampler is a great way for a beginner like me to get started with Pu'erh."

Almost a 5 star

"This one was quite bitter, but the flavors were still yummy. I decided to increase the brew time and it turned some of those bitter flavors into nice brightness. It unlocked a tangerine sweetness for me and help balanced flavors I am going to round up for uniqueness Recipe 5g>125g@45s"

Great way to discover puerh

"Today I finished my last sample in this collection, and I’ve learned a lot about puerh after knowing nothing. It’s been a blast! I’ve previously read a bit about puerh, sheng vs shou, things people worry about (sheng will be too harsh, ripe wet pile taste will be a turn off, etc. ) and found 1. I like both sheng and shou for completely different reasons. 2. Sheng is not too gnarly, and I fell in love with it right away, though I prefer them on the sweeter side and not overly bitter. The fragrance of sheng in the pitcher after decanting is amazing. It could be the quality of Yunnan Sourcing’s products, but I tasted no repulsive “wet pile” in the shou puerh offerings. If there was any wet pile, it was tasty, lol. My first shou, I was unsure about shou’s fermented flavor during the first steep or two, but by the end of the session I was craving it. It just took a few minutes to acquire a taste for it after years of milk and sugar black tea. I prefer the Cha Qi of puerh over other teas. It’s somehow more gentle but no less energizing. While I still love milk and sugar black tea with YS’s amazing black tea selections on the weekend with my wife, but I now look forward to puerh every weekday morning, gleefully struggling over which to have: Sheng or Shou? Aged or Young? Blend or single garden? Fun problems to have! I have bought cakes of Spring Morning and Impression. I am still deciding which ripe cake(s) are my favorites. So happy to have discovered Yunnan Sourcing and puerh tea. Can’t beat the quality + value."

Enjoyed those I have tried.

"So far I have tried the Rrooaarr, spring morning, ba wang, and Jinggu Lao cha. The Rrooaarr required very short brew times, about 10 seconds for the first few. Spring morning had a delightful sweet flavor and was a favorite. Ba wang started with strong smoky notes that developed nice grassy undertones in later steeps. Jinggu Lao cha reminded me of cherry and leather. Look forward to trying the rest."

"The tea has deep historic and emotional value for me. . taste good with no aftertaste"

Good, but not my favorite

"I ordered this with the introductory sampler set, but enjoyed this less than the 3 ripe samples that were sent with it. The flavor was a bit weaker than others and didn't really make it to three infusions well."
