Raw Pu-erh Tea

bought on the recommendation of a friend, this tea got me into gong fu style brewing. great value even if you use a lot. i definitely will be getting more

This reminds me of sweet tips of Simao but much thicker and heavier. It's very sweet and fruity with malty notes and a chocolaty finish. It's also got what I can only describe as a "big" mouthfeel and a definite though not overwrought chachi. It would probably be pretty good iced. A great daily sipper especially if you need a late afternoon/early evening pick-me-up that won't make it difficult for you to get to sleep that night.

I like to prepare this at 195 degrees Fahrenheit or 90 Celsius. I get 3 good infusions out of it if I steep for 3 minutes, then 4 minutes and finally 5 minutes. 1 gram per 100 mL does the trick for me.

I love this one. Rich and bold flavor, not to floral to taste

I have been looking for a green tea that doesn’t shout at me. This is a very nice, smooth tea with subtle, sustained energy. Nice mouth feel, lingers in the throat. Not a strong fragrance. Will buy again when next available.
