I haven't done a side by side comparison between it and anything else, but I really get the mineral/terroir from this tea, and brewed it several times.

A very nice assortment of different dancong teas. Each one is lovely and diverse enough to give a wide experience of the category.

While I love grandpa style, sometimes, I can't wait 45 minutes or, I just need a reliable source of hot water for a nice long session or if I just want a liter's worth of my favorite that is properly hot with every pour and this is perfect for that self indulgent purpose. This is all I ask and all I need. Great build quality, easy to clean and I love the strainer which pops on & off with little to no effort. The carafe itself is elegant and handsome so it looks great on my kitchen counter next to the Breville and next to my nice wooden tray among my precious porcelain. The simple spout doesn't even dribble a little bit and it's impossible to pour too fast and carelessly so no muss, no fuss.

I’ve preferred softer Eastern Chinese green teas, but when I placed my order for Pu & Hei cha, there wasn’t much 2025 harvest greens at the . us shop yet and I can’t do spring/summer without me some green.

This Cui Ming is quite good! For me, early steeps are slightly sweet, fruity, mellow, with a brilliant umami. Beautiful vivid color to the wet leaves early in the session. Later steeps add nuttiness and as expected, a little peppery assamica astringency, which adds another dimension.

What wowed me is the raw puer-like stony cha qi. Besides Purple Beauty, I’ve never experienced that from green tea. I guess I like Yunnan green now! lol.
