at they get "tea drunk. " While I'm not going to liken my experience with San Ceng Yun to being drunk (side note. . . kids, alcohol is bad no matter what the cool guys in your dorm say) but I will definitely liken this tea to a pleasant light-headedness similar to how I feel if I've gone too long without sleep, only without the negative effects associated with such a state. What's more, it tastes (expletive) fantastic! Not one to typically assign flavors to a tea, I couldn't help but determining San Ceng Yun to taste like a buttercream and honey with some Ricola=esque herb flavors to it. Astoundingly good and still affordable at the time I'm writing this. If you want something that's going to give you a lot of bang for your buck, get this (expletive) tea right (expletive) now! @ 95c gong fu style; and didn't let it brew more than 35 seconds even after the 5th brew (I'll definitely be brewing the same leaves tomorrow). I think because this is a smaller leaf Dan Cong I should use less; 8 gr. per 4 oz was quite a punch - still loved it - but next time i'll use 6 gs! Also the roast is prevalent and I think i'll let it rest; however it is satisfying, lubricating & mouth watering. It kicks coffee butt all the way to China!!! There is a fruity, roasted marshmallow rising up through the senses as Scott mentions in the narrative. I feel it's a higher shelf Dan Cong & worth the cost. Less is more with this one . . .
