2017 Yunnan Sourcing "Classic" Certified Organic Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake
Brand: Yunnan Sourcing Brand Pu-erh
We are proud to offer a Certified Organic "Classic" Ripe Pu-erh Tea from Yunnan. This tea was grown in the area of Simao and was harvested in April 2016, and wet piled in the summer of 2016.
This is a blend of grade 1,3,5, and 7 ripened tea leaves blended together in a classic recipe style. The classic style of ripe pu-erh cakes is a blend various leaf grades (read more about ripe pu-erh leaf grades here) pressed together to create a complex tea that will age well. This is a lovely sweet and throaty ripe tea. It is sweet, fruity and full-bodied. It can be infused many time, more than most ripes! Cha Qi is very nice and reflects this tea's pure origins.
The leaves used in this tea cake were harvested from organically cultivated tea pure assamica varietal tea bushes growing at an altitude 1300-1350 meters (4300-4450 feet) on summit of Ma Wei Mountain (just west of Pu'Er City). The tea is picked and processed into sun-dried mao cha, and then wet piled (wu dui) for 45 days, transforming it into ripe pu-erh tea (熟普洱).
250 Grams per cake (7 cakes per bamboo leaf tong)
