This 5 years aged ripe pu-erh tea was produced from tea leaves harvested in the Mang Fei mountain area of Yong De county (Lincang). The tea underwent wet piling (wo dui) in a local Yong De area tea factory, and then sold to a Nan Jian area tea factory.
Tea was aged in Nan Jian since 2012, and now after losing it's "wo dui" taste (freshly wet piled aka composted) brews up a clear burgundy red tea soup. The taste is very clear and sweet, with an earth and camphor taste.
Tea is Grade 5 size tea leaves (neither big nor small). An enjoyable and accessible ripe pu-erh tea that's great to drink now, but will continue to improve with further storage.
